Admin unable to add or update wordpress plugins

ISSUE :

– You are login as admin , but the backend shows a bar saying “WordPress 5.2.2 (or any update) is available! Please notify the site administrator.”

– Unable to add new plugin.

– Unable to update wordpress and plugins.

SOLUTION :

Step 1 : goto cpanel

Step 2 : Click on file manager

Step 3 : Click on Public html

Step 4 : Edit wp-config.php

Step 5 : You may get this line

define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_MODS’,true);

Change the value from “true” to  “false” :

define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_MODS’,false);
